Woodvale Challenge Fitting Out Services

From taking delivery of a new rowing boat in primer or after purchasing a second hand boat - there is a huge amount of work needed to get you boat ready for an ocean crossing.

At Woodvale we can do just about all aspects of rowing boat fitting out. We have a dedicated paintshop based in Totnes, Devon - from re-painting to the first paint, we can provide a whole series of designs and painting techniques.

First Fitting Outing

Woodvale have established relationships with a wide range of marine based suppliers. The initial fitting out service that we offer includes fitting hatches, cleats and rowing positions.

Second Fitting Out

We fit both Spectra and Katadyne Watermakers, all electronic equipment from solar panels and batteries to navigation equipment. There is a design service to meet all individuals requirements depending on the type of boat and which ocean they intend to cross. Rudder control sytems, water storage, communications, cushions, internal stowage solutions, oar mountings and running lights.

Additional Support

We provide a pre-race scrutineering service. Each team member recieves a full equipment list to meet the race and port authority requirements. We can put food packages together and offer a full safety equipment service.

Woodvale Challenge fitting out services are available to both race entrants and independent rowers alike.
