Rowing Machines:

Rachel and Lin from Barbara Ivy (Atlantic Rowing Race 2007) have two implements of torture rowing machines for sale at much reduced prices. Read on for more details!As part of their preparations for the Atlantic Rowing Race, Rachel and Lin used rowing machines kept at home. As their campaign is drawing to a close, and frankly, they never want to sit on a rowing machine again (!), they have two for sale. Both machines would need to be collected from Chester.

Johnson Fitness W7000 - £650 (RRP £785) ONO

A heavy duty machine using air resistance. Again brand new and therefore only one careful owner. This machine is designed for use in gym's and fitness centres so doesn't stand up, but does have wheels on to move it around. Excellent large display and compatible with most heart rate monitors.

PUR 35 - Spare Hand Held Watermaker - £700 ONO (RRP - £1,050)

Less than 12 months old this water maker has never been used, still has the factory filled storage solution in it and is still in its original box, complete with all the paperwork.

Widely regarded as the most reliable water maker for ocean rowing crossings, this watermaker prodcued approximately 18 litres an hour for us on our 2006 Atlantic crossing. It has been out of the water ever since we finished and is in good condition. Our boat has now being put on display in a sports museum which is why we are selling this piece of equipment independent of the boat.

SOLD - Water Rower - £750 (RRP £899) ONO

This beautiful wooden machine was brand new and has therefore only had one careful owner. Both rowers loved the Water Rower machines as the resistance is created using water. Not only did they find this more realistic, but they liked the sound of the water swoosing as the paddles went round. Ideal for small spaces as the Water Rower will stand up on end in a corner well out of the way and has wheels on for easy movement. Excellent large display which is fully programmable and compatible with most heart rate monitors.
