Change of Helm for Atlantic Ocean Rowing Races
After nearly 10 years and having organised more ocean rowing races than any other business, Woodvale Challenge Ltd are pleased to announce that they have sold the rights to all future race’s to Atlantic Campaigns SL.The new race organisers are no strangers to the world of Ocean Rowing – Carsten Heron Olsen has undertaken the role of principal shore and support crew for Ole Elmer’s Atlantic Rowing Campaigns over the past 3 years. Carsten will be forming a new team over the coming weeks – announcements will be made shortly.
The existing structure of Woodvale will trade under the new name of “Oceanus Rowing”. The sole ambition of this new company will be to break ocean rowing records with larger boats campaigns and offer a new “cruising” campaign style into ocean rowing.
“ I am delighted to have been involved with ocean rowing races over the past 10 years. Within the 6 races that we have organised - including routes such as the North Atlantic and Indian Oceans – there have been some amazing memories, numerous records, millions raised for charity and good friends made. It is perfect timing to hand this area of ocean rowing over to Carsten and the new company. It will be great to see where the sport heads with fresh enthusiasm and a new injection. I am looking forward to focusing purely on personal rowing projects in the future, and I have an immense amount of pride in what the Woodvale Team have achieved over the past decade within the sport” - Simon Chalk
www.OceanusRowing.com will become live within the next month.
