Seminars
Woodvale Challenge Seminars
We are planning to launch a whole series of seminars in the build up to the rowing race events over the next two years. These seminars will focus on a whole range of ocean rowing topics, from general boat management, use of para-anchors, electronics and navigation. Generally organised as social gatherings, previous events have included our Torquay weekends - where teams can bring their boats and row with experienced ocean rowers and get a feel for the boats out on the water. Our first seminars will be launched by mid March 2007 - so watch this space...    Prior to the start of the rowing races there are various pre-race seminars. These informative meetings deal with a whole range of topics including start proceedures, medical briefing and weather information. There are a whole series of safety proceedures that are put in place including an overall crisis operations plan that is briefed to the teams prior to the start of the races.  |
