Press & Media
Ocean rowing has gone from strength to strength since it was turned into a more accessible sport back in 1997. It is now viewed as ‘fashionable' in the world of extreme sports and as such it has received a healthy dose of media coverage.
Perhaps most notable during the Atlantic Rowing Race 2005 Ben Fogle and James Cracknell managed to secure five, half-hour programmes on prime time BBC television for their efforts which literally catapulted ocean rowing into the public domain.
This success is echoed around the country within the local and national media with teams gaining incredible recognition for their campaigns in press, radio and television media.
Media involvement is an essential component in securing sponsorship. We can help to provide media evaluations which summarise the value of media generated by our races in order to prove to sponsors that ocean rowing really is a good investment.
