Charlie Girard Rescued on Atlantic Row

After only 1 day and 18 hours at sea Charlie Girards attempt to row the Atlantic Ocean West to East from Orleans, USA to France has sadly come to an end.

Charlie was picked up on 6th July 2007 by the US Coastguard helicopter after being capsized no less than 8 times and suffering 1 pitch pole.
 
Charlie is now safely in Cape Cod, he has suffered some minor injuries but is thankful to be alive and safe.
